By the age of 13, I was already in and out of bands. The third band really did prove to be the charm band. I was one of the five part harmonies that Dennis talks about in his biography. My band (not Dennis') was called "The Genetic Drift". I will give Denny credit for the stupid name. We played all over Chicago but mostly high school dances and battle of the bands. We did a lot of Cryan Shames' music and we did it well. We won many of the battle of the band competitions. Singing in bands off and on for the past fort-some (choke,choke) years has been a lot of fun, especially now because I'm back playing with good friends. I have played with Tom and Denny off and on for many of those forty-some years. The others, Bruce, Frank and Ron are some of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure to play with.
