  Frankie

It all started for Frankie Ricci when he was young, hummin' to the radio in mom’s car. The love for music was at an early age.

In junior high, the choir director noticed a talent and put him into the honors choir.

In high school, he immediately made his presence known as a kid who could hit the high notes and was named a tenor in the choir. He landed a few solos and even a lead role in the operetta "The Mikado", a Gilbert and Sullivan classic. Also during high school, he sang in a few garage bands and learned how to play the guitar poorly, yet good enough to realize he could write songs (so the quest begins).

After high school, he played in a few more garage and basement bands as a bassist and singer with much better musicians such as guitarists Steve Francik, Jim Kus, and Thomas Yurik (The Thomas Yurik Band) and drummer, Fred Barr (Sister Slingshot) just to name a few.

Years later he discovered KARAOKE and with this new tool, developed his voice further.

He won numerous contests in the area and alot of money and a couple of trips.

At a Karaoke show at Tommy and Denny's bar and grill (Willow Crossing), Tommy overheard him singing a song and told him he had been waitin' a long time to find a voice as good as his to front his new band (and so the saga continues). "Now, in the Lusty Muttz, I’m sharing a lead vocal role with Bobby and Denny has takin' me under his wing as a second guitar player. I’m still playin' poorly (laughing), but I'm gettin' better."
