At the age of 12, I was hanging out at my brother Tom’s band practices. When they would take a break, one of my two cousins who played guitar in the band, would show me how to play chords. I would go back home with my Teisco Del Ray guitar; I would practice in my bedroom. Never being interested in sports, I practiced a lot. Soon I assembled my own band with guys my own age. We became very accomplished for our age, singing 4 & 5 part harmonies.

At age 13, I went to the World Music Show at McCormick Place with one of my cousins. I walked up to the Gibson Guitar display and noticed 3 guitar players jamming on stage. After they were done I approached one of the players, introduced myself and asked if I could try his guitar. He said "sure", that man was B.B.King.

At 15, my parents signed a contract for me with Silver Fox Productions; I was now playing in one of the top 5 bands in Chicago. I finished high school and enrolled at the American Conservatory of Music for Classical Guitar. Music was always a major part of my life and now with "LustyMuttz", I enjoy it more now than any other time of my life. If you have an opportunity, come out and join us for an evening.
